Browser data and optional sync
BasyaNet stores bookmarks and normal browsing history locally in the app's private device storage. If you sign in to a BasyaNet Account, bookmarks, normal history, and the selected browser theme are encrypted on your device and synced through BasyaNet's account service. Website passwords, cookies, form data, downloads, and private windows are never included in BasyaNet sync.
Websites loaded in the browser can independently use cookies, storage, and other web technologies through Android System WebView.
Secure window
The Secure window runs in a separate Android app process and separate WebView data directory. It is intended to reduce persistent BasyaNet browsing data. Secure mode is not network anonymity: websites, search providers, your ISP/network administrator, and any VPN/proxy provider can still receive normal network information.
Search and websites
Text entered as a search is sent to the external search provider when the resulting page opens. BasyaNet does not operate a public crawler or BasyaNet search index. Destination websites have their own privacy practices.
Permissions and downloads
BasyaNet can request camera, microphone, location, or file access only when a website feature needs it and Android permission controls apply. Downloads you choose are saved to the device's Downloads area.
Android / Google Play / ChromeOS
The native BasyaNet Android edition supports phones, tablets, and compatible Chromebooks. Google Play, Android, and ChromeOS may process device, account, diagnostic, and installation information under Google's own privacy policies.
